The Lane Cove Chiropractic Central Team
Welcome to 2014! You may have made some resolutions at the stroke of midnight to ring in the New Year or have put some deep thought into goals you would like to achieve in this year. Here are a few tips to ensure you keep them.
- Avoid picking unrealistic resolutions as you’re likely to set yourself up for disappointment and failure.
- Write down your goals. When you do, you’re sending a message to your brain that you’re committed.
- Don’t just set yourself an ultimate goal – break your goal down into several smaller goals that you can achieve throughout the year.
- Plan how you will approach obstacles along the way to achieving your resolution. What kind of obstacles are you likely to run into?
- Ask family and friends to help – it is a great way to keep you accountable. If your resolutions are health of fitness related seek professionals who can keep you on track.
- Don’t expect to achieve your resolutions overnight. Consistency and smaller, short-term goals are critical to success.
- For every small goal you achieve along the way make sure you reward yourself.
What goals or resolutions have you set for yourself for 2014? The Team and I wish you a great year ahead!
Regards,
Dr Sarah MacNeil
