The Sit Right Widget
If you’re sitting at a desk for most of the work you can easily lost track of time and not move from your desk for a few hours, especially when you’re in the middle of big projects. The Sit Right Widget may just be a solution to ensure you are getting up from your desk.
The Chiropractors’ Association of Australia has developed the Sit Right Widget as a simple tool to prompt computer users to take more regular breaks. The default setting is to prompt for a break every hour, although users can change these settings for 20 minute or 40 minute intervals depending on how often you would like (or how often you’ve been advised) to take a break and stretch you legs.
It is free to download, and is available for Windows (Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7) and Mac OS X (Lion/10.7.x only).
