Jane Godfrey has been a Chiropractic Central regular for close to 7 years and for the Godfrey family, it has become a family affair.
This hasn’t always been the case though, as Jane had never been to a chiropractor before this and was a bit of a sceptic and didn’t recognise the benefit of it. “It was only after a completing an impromptu spinal check at my gym, and being referred to Dr Sarah that I can see the whole health benefits of chiropractic,” said Jane.
Jane previously had a lot of allergy related illness and found that general illness like head colds lingered far too long, but since seeing Dr Sarah, Jane has been able to get over illnesses much quicker. Jane also received adjustments whilst pregnant with her daughters. “Receiving adjustments continually throughout both my pregnancies and up until the week before birth meant that I was strong and comfortable throughout, without any musculoskeletal issues.” Jane’s husband is a builder and benefits from chiropractic for repetitive strain injuries and improved overall health.
Jane has also seen a lot of benefits for her two daughters aged 4 ½ and 2. Both her daughters have been to chiropractic once a month since their birth. As a PE teacher, Jane recognised the need for maintaining spinal health, ensuring the girls’ gait developed as they grew, and based on her experience, building a strong immune system. “My girls have a strong immune system and they very rarely get sick from time at day care. Any parent with children knows that so many bugs are brought home from day care and pre-school.”
Prevention is better than cure is an apt way of describing Jane’s reason for making regular trips to Chiropractic Central a family affair. “It’s important for people to realise that you don’t have to have anything wrong with you to see a chiropractor,” said Jane. “It’s great to have strong spinal health and an improved immune system. Chiropractic can improve specifics, but my family has found it also helps maintain our general health.”
Chiropractic Central’s upcoming Mums and Bubs Seminar on Saturday, 18 July will be a great opportunity for mums to discover the benefits of chiropractic and a number of other holistic health approaches for themselves and their young families.
